Arrival in the United States
King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the United States to commence their four-day state visit, marking the first such visit since Queen Elizabeth II's trip in 2007.

The visit coincides with the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence from Britain and is intended to celebrate the enduring strong relationship between the two nations.
Welcoming Ceremony at Joint Base Andrews
Prior to the arrival of the King and Queen on Monday, a military band and honour guard were assembled at Joint Base Andrews, a military air base located in Maryland, to receive the royal visitors.

As the royal aircraft touched down, a red carpet was unfurled at the base to welcome the dignitaries.

King Charles and Queen Camilla descended the stairs of the plane, officially beginning their state visit.

Official Reception
Upon arrival, King Charles was formally welcomed by Monica Crowley, the White House's Chief of Protocol, alongside Sir Christian Turner, the United Kingdom's ambassador to the United States.

The King and Queen received floral tributes from children as part of the reception.
Following this, they proceeded through a guard of honour where a military band performed both the United States and United Kingdom national anthems.
Subsequently, the royal couple was transported from the air base to the White House to meet with US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
