Seven Arrested After Cannabis Farm Discovered in Former Wick High School

Seven individuals have been taken into custody following the uncovering of a suspected cannabis cultivation site within the premises of the former Wick High School located in Caithness.

Police Scotland reported that officers carried out a warrant on Thursday as part of their investigation.

The arrested persons include two men aged 23, four men aged 27, 35, 44, and 46, as well as a 17-year-old boy.

The Wick school has remained vacant since 2017, after the secondary school relocated to a new facility equipped with modern amenities.

A police spokesperson stated:

"Inquiries are ongoing and there will be a continued police presence in the area.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0947 of 27 January, 2026."
