Formula 1 to Race in Las Vegas Until at Least 2037

This season's race in Las Vegas is scheduled from 19-21 November.

Formula 1 has extended its contract to race in Las Vegas by 10 years, ensuring the event will continue there until at least 2037.

The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023 marked the culmination of four decades of intermittent efforts to establish a race that incorporates the iconic Las Vegas Strip into the circuit layout.

Demonstrating its commitment to the event's success, F1 invested $500 million to purchase a central plot of land in Las Vegas, where it constructed a new pit building and paddock facilities.

Stefano Domenicali, F1 president and chief executive officer, stated: "We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market."

Economic Impact and City Support

F1's decision to invest directly in Las Vegas was instrumental in securing the city's support for the event, including permission to run the race along the Strip in front of the renowned casino hotels.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix has proven to be a significant success for the city, transforming what was previously its least profitable weekend—the one before Thanksgiving—into one of its most lucrative periods.

A statement from Formula 1 highlighted that since 2023, the Grand Prix has generated a cumulative economic impact of $3.2 billion (£2.4 billion) for Las Vegas. Specifically, the 2025 race alone produced $43 million ($32 million) in tax revenue for the city.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, commented: "Extending our partnership with Formula 1 for the next decade is a major moment for both Las Vegas and the grand prix. In just three years, the race has become a signature global event - putting Las Vegas at the centre of culture, competition and entertainment during race week. As the spotlight of the world turns to Las Vegas, the event continues to reinforce our evolution as a premier sports and entertainment destination."

Additional Information

The Las Vegas Grand Prix continues to be a key fixture in the Formula 1 calendar, attracting global attention and contributing significantly to the city's economy and international profile.
