Sunderland Secure Deal for Nilson Angulo

Sunderland have reached an agreement to sign winger Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht and Ecuador for a fee potentially rising to £17.5 million.

The transfer includes a £15 million initial payment plus £2.5 million in add-ons for the 22-year-old player.

Contract and Career Details

Angulo recently extended his contract with Anderlecht until September 2025, having joined the Belgian club in 2022.

After three and a half years in Belgium, Angulo is departing following a season where he contributed 15 goal involvements across 30 appearances.

International Experience

He made his senior international debut for Ecuador in October 2021 during a friendly match against Mexico.
