Chelsea Pride, the official LGBTQ+ supporter group of Chelsea Football Club, issued a statement condemning the homophobic chants directed at their supporters during the match:

"Tonight, homophobic chanting was once again directed at our supporters. This is utterly unacceptable.
We acknowledge that Hull City made stadium announcements, confirmed CCTV was being monitored, and that arrests have been made. Action matters. Accountability matters. Consequences matter.
But let us be clear, the fact that this chant is still being heard in 2026 is a stain on our game."

Match Outcome and Managerial Comments

Chelsea secured a 4-0 victory over Championship side Hull City to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior commented on the incident, stating that he was unaware of the chanting during the game due to his focus on the match:
