Driver Charged in Fatal London School Crash

The driver of the vehicle involved in a 2023 crash at a south-west London school, which resulted in the deaths of two eight-year-old girls, has been formally charged by prosecutors.

Claire Freemantle was behind the wheel of the Land Rover that breached the railings of The Study Prep school in Wimbledon. The incident occurred while pupils and their parents were gathered on the lawn to celebrate the last day of term.

The crash tragically killed Selena Lau and Nuria Sajjad, both aged eight, and caused injuries to others present at the scene.
