Additional Arrests Made After East Lothian Stabbing
Two more men have been arrested following a stabbing incident in East Lothian last month, which police suspect may be linked to a gangland feud.
The individuals, aged 21 and 33, were charged in relation to the attack in Musselburgh after a police operation conducted in Hamilton and Glasgow on Thursday.
Details of the Incident and Previous Arrests
A 31-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized after the stabbing on Drummohr Avenue on 6 April. Subsequently, two other men, aged 38 and 43, were arrested and charged in connection with the case.
The investigation is being led by detectives from Operation Portaledge, which was established last year in response to an increase in gangland-related attacks.
The two men apprehended during the latest police operation are scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
Related Incident at Glasgow Garage
Hours following the knife attack in East Lothian, a garage in Glasgow, previously the site of a notable gangland murder, was reportedly set on fire.
Emergency services responded to reports of a van and two cars ablaze at Lambhill Motors on Balmore Road in the north of Glasgow at approximately 01:30 on 9 April.
The garage, formerly known as Applerow Motors, was the location where 21-year-old Michael Lyons was fatally shot in 2006, with two others injured during the incident.
