Police have issued an appeal for information to assist in locating two walkers who have gone missing in separate incidents.

Timothy Rosser, aged 60, was last seen after leaving his hotel in Edinburgh before driving to the Glencoe area. Meanwhile, 36-year-old Adam Chalmers was reported missing while hillwalking in the Ben Lawers mountain range.

Rosser is an American described as white, approximately 6ft 2in tall with a slim build and short white hair. Chalmers is also white, standing 5ft 11in with a stocky build, bald, and sporting a medium-length brown beard.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that could aid in locating the men to come forward.

Official Statements

Sgt Lewis Macleod said: "Timothy has failed to check in to his pre-booked hotels in the area and it is out of character to not be in touch with his family."

Chalmers began his walk at approximately 09:15 on Saturday, intending to complete three Munros: Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh, and An Stuc.

The last contact from Chalmers was around 12:40 when he sent a message stating he had completed two Munros and had one remaining.

He was last seen wearing a green and blue triangle-patterned fleece, a grey and black waterproof jacket, green walking trousers, a blue cap, and brown boots. He was carrying a black rucksack with orange elastic ties.

Insp Iain Gillies said: "We are particularly keen to speak with any fellow hillwalkers who were in the Lawers area on Saturday and may have seen Adam or knows anything which could help pinpoint his location and route."
