New Ground Movement Reported Near Benbuck View
New ground movement has been identified on roads adjacent to a Clackmannanshire street where residents were evacuated last week.
On 18 May, thirty homes in Benbuck View were evacuated as a precaution following reports of "unsafe structures."

Response and Ongoing Investigations
The Mining Remediation Authority (MRA) stated it is collaborating closely with Clackmannanshire Council to "swiftly inspect" the newly observed signs of ground movement.
Residents of Benbuck View have not been permitted to return to their homes since the evacuation but have been allowed accompanied visits to retrieve personal belongings.
"We understand how worrying this is for the community, and we are doing everything we can to support Clackmannanshire Council and those affected and respond as quickly and safely as possible."
"Work is continuing at pace to establish the cause of this incident, with multiple specialist teams on site undertaking detailed engineering assessments."
The MRA spokesperson also indicated that traffic management and additional security measures have been implemented during the ongoing work.
"Our priority remains the safety of residents, our people and partners, and we will provide further updates as more information becomes available."
Council Actions and Safety Measures
Clackmannanshire Council acknowledged reports from residents of "signs of damage to their homes in adjacent streets."
Last week, the local authority imposed a three-week road closure in Benbuck View for "ground investigations and safety reasons."

The site has been secured with fencing, and security personnel along with police are present to prevent unauthorized access.
Water, gas, and electricity supplies in the street have been disconnected while the investigations and work are ongoing.
The council cautioned against speculation regarding the cause of the ground movement, noting that "a number of possibilities" are being considered.
Structural inspections and other investigations are underway to determine when it will be safe for residents to return to their properties.
Current Site Activities
A question and answer page on the council's website detailed the ongoing activities: "Activity on site currently includes property inspections, ground investigations, trial digs and drilling, alongside the installation of cameras and ground sensors.
These measures are helping teams build a clearer picture of what is happening below the surface and plan the next steps with as much care and accuracy as possible."
