A 36-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Downpatrick, County Down, where a police officer was struck by a stolen police vehicle.
The event occurred in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in the officer sustaining serious injuries. During the incident, the officer discharged his firearm, firing one round.
