Lorry Crashes into House in Edinburgh
Several roads in Edinburgh have been closed following an incident where a lorry collided with a residential property.
Police have cordoned off Brand Drive in Portobello after reports that a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) struck the house at approximately 14:25 on Tuesday, 26 May, 2026.

Emergency services remain on the scene, and it is currently unknown whether there have been any injuries resulting from the crash.
In addition to Brand Drive, the nearby roads Christian Grove and Christian Crescent have been closed to traffic.

"Emergency services are in attendance at Brand Drive, Edinburgh following a crash involving a lorry and a house which happened around 2.25pm on Tuesday, 26 May, 2026.
There are road closures in place at Christian Grove and Christian Crescent."
