Crash Near Kyle of Lochalsh Leads to Hospitalizations and Arrest

A 31-year-old man was arrested following a collision near Kyle of Lochalsh that resulted in four individuals being taken to hospital.

The incident involved a silver Mercedes GLB200 and a white Dacia Duster on the A890 close to Auchtertyre. Emergency services responded to the crash at approximately 17:10 on Thursday.

Among those injured, a 78-year-old man sustained serious injuries. Additionally, two women aged 27 and 74, along with a 31-year-old man, were transported to hospital for assessment.

Police Scotland confirmed that inquiries into the incident are ongoing and have requested any witnesses to come forward with information.

The road was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation and reopened around 01:00 on Friday.

Sgt Doug Scott stated: "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and has any information to get in touch with officers.

I'd also ask that anyone in the area who has dashcam footage review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation."

Separate Incident Near Invergarry

In a related development on Friday morning, one individual was airlifted to a hospital in Glasgow following a crash involving a large vehicle near Invergarry.
