Five Men Released After Arrest in Dissident Republican Investigation

Five men arrested in west Belfast over dissident republican activity have been released after questioning. Searches in Belfast, Larne, and Ballymena led to vehicle seizures. The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed the investigation is ongoing.

Five Arrested in Connection with Dissident Republican Activity Released

Five men, aged 26, 27, 38, 44, and 51, who were arrested by detectives investigating violent dissident republican activity, have been released following questioning.

The arrests took place on Thursday in the Poleglass area of west Belfast. The individuals were subsequently taken to Musgrave Police Station in Belfast for questioning.

Following the initial arrests, further searches were conducted in the Belfast area, as well as in Larne and Ballymena. During these operations, a number of vehicles were seized.

On Saturday, the Police Service of Northern Ireland provided an update on the investigation, stating:

"The investigation remains ongoing."
