Fire Incident at East Belfast Recycling Site
Six fire appliances are currently responding to a fire at a site located in east Belfast. Flames and thick black smoke were visible from the area in the city's Titanic Quarter on Sunday afternoon.

The blaze is taking place at Clearway Disposals, a scrap metal recycling business situated on East Twin Road, according to Belfast Harbour authorities.

Traffic and Safety Measures
Police have issued advice for motorists to avoid the East Twin Road area due to the ongoing fire nearby. Additionally, a police cordon has been established at the Airport Road entrance to the harbour estate to restrict access. Fire crews are continuing to make their way to the scene along Queen's Road.
Authorities have urged the public to seek alternative routes for their journeys to prevent congestion and ensure safety.
Official Statements and Precautions
A spokesperson for Belfast Harbour Police confirmed collaboration with the police, fire service, and Clearway Disposals following the outbreak of the fire at the scrap metal recycling facility within the Harbour Estate.
"We would advise local residents in the surrounding area to keep windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure and for people to avoid the area,"
they added.
Queen's Road has been closed to both vehicular traffic and pedestrians as part of the safety response.
