Child Among Three Dead After Falling from South London Tower Block

Fatal Fall from High-Rise in Elephant and Castle

Three individuals, including a child, have died following a fall from a high-rise block of flats in south London, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Emergency services responded to reports of people falling from height at Churchyard Row in Elephant and Castle at 07:29 BST on Wednesday.

At the scene, a man, a woman, and a child were discovered. Despite resuscitation efforts by emergency crews, all three were pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers attended the incident alongside the London Ambulance Service, London's Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade.

A police spokesperson stated that the deaths are "currently being treated as unexpected" and noted that no other injuries have been reported.

Work is ongoing to formally identify the deceased. Their next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service reported that crews arrived on scene within four minutes.

"Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, three people were pronounced dead the scene,"

they added.
