The police stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal for further consideration.

Background and Last Sighting

Evans was last observed at the Golgotha Monastery shortly before midnight on Saturday, 11 April.

Originally from New Zealand, Evans was a member of the Redemptorist Community, a Catholic monastic order.

This order of Catholic monks purchased the island of Papa Stronsay over 25 years ago and has maintained a monastic presence there since.
