Firefighters Battle Blaze at Golders Green Supermarket

Approximately 100 firefighters are currently engaged in extinguishing a fire at a supermarket with residential flats above it located in north-west London.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received the initial call among 56 total calls shortly after 06:45 BST concerning a three-storey building on Golders Green Road in Golders Green. The brigade reported that the fire "is producing a significant amount of smoke."

Fifteen fire engines from the Willesden, Finchley, and West Hampstead stations are actively working to control the blaze. The LFB has advised residents in the vicinity to keep their windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure.

Several road closures have been implemented, including Golders Green Road near the junction with Beverley Gardens, to facilitate emergency response efforts. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
