Gardaí Appeal for Public Assistance in Identifying Assault Victim

Police are requesting the public's help in identifying a man who remains in critical condition following an assault in Dublin's Temple Bar area.

An Garda Síochána confirmed that the man was taken to Beaumont Hospital after the attack, which took place on Cope Street at approximately 00:30 local time on Wednesday.

According to Irish broadcaster RTÉ, the victim was attacked by two men and was found unconscious at the scene.

Gardaí have provided a description of a distinctive tattoo on the victim's right forearm. The tattoo features a blue and white flag accompanied by the words

'Ceol is Beatha', meaning 'music is life'.

Authorities are urging anyone who was present in the vicinity of Cope Street between midnight and 01:00 local time on Wednesday and who may have information regarding the incident to come forward and contact Gardaí.

They have also requested that anyone with camera footage from the area during that time make it available to assist with the investigation.
