Jeremy Clarkson in Remission from Prostate Cancer
Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he is in remission from prostate cancer, shortly after disclosing that he was living with the disease.
During a recent episode of his show Clarkson's Farm, the television presenter stated that he had been diagnosed with an "aggressive" form of prostate cancer in 2025.
In an interview with The Times, Clarkson confirmed that follow-up testing conducted two months ago showed no signs of cancer, officially confirming his remission status.
"I am without a doubt, officially, the world's luckiest man," he told the paper.
"It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble," he said.
Over the weekend, Clarkson shared a video on the X account of his pub, The Farmer's Dog, where he addressed his health status.
"You will have noticed that I'm not dead."
"The reason why I'm fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested."
He used the opportunity to encourage his followers to undergo testing and not become part of the 12,000 men who die annually in the UK from prostate cancer.
Speaking further to The Times, the 66-year-old explained that he now undergoes regular blood tests to monitor his health and is aware that there is a 40% chance of recurrence for those diagnosed with prostate cancer.
"I try to be positive. I've decided to be one of the 60% who doesn't have a recurrence," Clarkson said.
Clarkson, formerly known for presenting Top Gear, had previously discussed his diagnosis and the partial removal of his prostate as part of his treatment during an episode of Clarkson's Farm released on Wednesday.
The programme concluded with a dramatic scene showing Clarkson in a hospital bed, addressing viewers:
"If this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't."
He signed off with: "Take care everyone."
According to The Times, Clarkson's cancer diagnosis followed a routine medical check in May 2025.
"This is why I have to say to everybody who's reading this, please, please, please go and get checked," he urged.
"It's not uncomfortable, it's not undignified. And it's a no-brainer. I did, and that's why I'm sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line."
During his interview, Clarkson mentioned meeting with former Prime Minister Lord David Cameron and restaurant critic Giles Coren, both of whom have also been diagnosed with prostate cancer, to discuss their health experiences.
Clarkson's health has been a recurring theme throughout the fifth series of Clarkson's Farm.
"We started season five with me in a hospital bed, and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in the hospital bed," he remarked on the programme.
Prior to his cancer diagnosis, Clarkson underwent a heart procedure in October 2024, during which he was fitted with two stents to reduce the risk of a potentially fatal heart attack.
