King Receives Blue Peter Green Badge
The King has been awarded a Blue Peter Green badge in recognition of the "amazing work" he undertakes for the environment.
Charles was presented with the badge at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire, acknowledging his personal dedication to promoting nature and sustainability, particularly through The King's Foundation.

In addition to receiving the badge, he placed another Blue Peter badge into the foundation's time capsule to mark its 35th anniversary. This time capsule will remain buried at the estate for 100 years before being opened by a future generation.
Presentation and Educational Engagements
The King was presented with the badge by Blue Peter presenter Joel Mawhinney and Liza Kengran, the foundation's sustainable food systems curriculum manager.
During the visit, he also met a group of primary school pupils participating in potting activities as part of the foundation's Growing Together, Cooking Together programme.
Furthermore, a group of secondary school students from Auchenharvie Academy in Stevenston were recognized for their efforts in promoting sustainability.
Support for Food Waste Reduction
Charles has been a long-standing advocate for reducing food waste. The Coronation Food Project, established in 2023, redistributes surplus food to people in need across Merseyside, Birmingham, and London.
Previous Blue Peter Awards
The King and Queen previously received Gold Blue Peter badges in Liverpool in 2023. Charles was honored for his environmental work and support for young people through The King's Trust, while the Queen was recognized for her efforts in promoting literacy and reading.
Upcoming Engagements
Later, the King is scheduled to meet firefighters involved in combating a major fire that engulfed a B-listed Victorian building in central Glasgow in March. A total of 250 firefighters participated in extinguishing the blaze.
