Peabo Bryson, Renowned R&B Singer, Passes Away at 75
R&B singer Peabo Bryson, celebrated for his iconic vocals on Disney classics such as A Whole New World and Beauty and the Beast, has died at the age of 75.
His family confirmed that he passed away on Tuesday evening, surrounded by loved ones.
Although the cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, Bryson had suffered a stroke over the weekend and was receiving medical treatment.
Musical Legacy Spanning Decades
Bryson's career spanned from the 1970s through the 2010s, with notable hits including Feel the Fire, I'm So Into You, Can You Stop the Rain, If Ever You're In My Arms Again, and Reaching for the Sky.
"For more than five decades, Peabo's extraordinary voice served as the soundtrack to some of life's most cherished moments,"
his family stated.
"His music carried generations through joyful celebrations, great love stories and enduring moments of comfort and inspiration, creating a legacy that will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him and the countless lives he touched through song."
Grammy Awards and Disney Collaborations
Bryson earned two Grammy Awards in 1992 and 1993 for duet performances that became emblematic of a generation of Disney films. These included the title track Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion, and A Whole New World with Regina Belle from the film Aladdin.

his family shared.

Recent Activities and Upcoming Plans
In May, Bryson performed in a concert alongside Jeffrey Osborne in the state of Georgia, USA.
He was scheduled to perform several shows as part of his Golden Touch tour later this year, celebrating five decades in the music industry.
Earlier in April, Bryson marked his 75th birthday and posted photos of the celebration with family and friends on social media.
