Main CalMac Ferry to Lewis Out of Service
The primary CalMac ferry servicing Lewis has experienced a breakdown, resulting in the cancellation of all services for the remainder of the day.
The vessel MV Loch Seaforth, which operates the route between Ullapool and Stornoway, is currently facing a mechanical issue involving the ramp located at its bow. Engineers are actively engaged in repair efforts to resolve the problem.
Recent days have seen a reduction in disruptions across the CalMac network, which had been affected by various breakdowns and maintenance requirements. Despite this improvement, passengers are advised to anticipate potential interruptions on 15 out of the 30 west coast routes.
