Tommy Fury Dedicates Win to Newborn Son
Tommy Fury, holding an 11-0 professional record with four knockouts, dedicated his victory over former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall to his newborn son after defeating Hall on points in an exhibition match.
The fight took place at Manchester's AO Arena and was scored by three judges over six two-minute rounds, resulting in scores of 59-56, 58-56, and 57-57.
Fury, the British boxer and half-brother of former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, returned to the ring for the first time since his professional win against Kenan Hanjalic in May 2025.
"This was for my new baby boy, Midas,"
Fury revealed the name of his second child with partner Molly-Mae Hague.
"It's another Fury. It's another boy.
I've fought a lot of people, and this guy can fight. He's not slow; he's fit. Thank you for taking the fight and thank you for a great fight in Manchester."
Exhibition Bout Details and Context
The heavyweight contest was classified as an exhibition bout, meaning it did not affect either fighter's professional boxing record.
This event exemplifies the growing trend of boxing shows that blend professional sport, entertainment, and social media celebrity.
Tommy Fury, who previously appeared on Love Island, has a professional record that includes notable wins over influencers-turned-boxers KSI and Jake Paul.
Eddie Hall, a British strongman who won the World's Strongest Man title in 2017, had previously lost to fellow strongman Hafthor 'Thor' Bjornsson in 2022 in an exhibition bout billed as 'The Heaviest Boxing Match in History'. Hall later transitioned to mixed martial arts (MMA), achieving a knockout victory over strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski last year.
At the weigh-in for Friday's fight, there was a significant weight difference of 108 pounds (49 kilograms) between the fighters. Despite this, 27-year-old Fury utilized his superior boxing skills to maintain control and secure the win.
Among the audience were Fury's brother and Manchester City forward Phil Foden, who recently missed selection for England's World Cup squad.
Undercard Highlights
The undercard featured several notable bouts, including Jack Kay, known as the 'Ibiza Final Boss' and recognized for his distinctive bowl haircut that went viral on social media in 2025. Kay defeated rapper and podcaster Jordan McCann.
Two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones also competed, defeating Argentina's combat sports influencer Federikita by technical knockout when the fight was stopped in the second round. This marked Jones's second boxing victory since transitioning to the sport last year at age 33.
Campbell Hatton Joins Misfits
Before the headline fight, Campbell Hatton, son of the late former world champion Ricky Hatton, was announced as a new signing to the Misfits boxing promotion. The 25-year-old had previously announced his retirement from professional boxing last year.
