Briton Hamzah Sheeraz secured his first world title by defeating Alem Begic via a second-round stoppage to capture the vacant WBO super-middleweight championship in Egypt.

The 26-year-old Londoner dominated from the outset, using precise straight jabs and uppercuts to break down the German opponent, who appeared outmatched throughout the bout.

Begic struggled to respond to Sheeraz's accuracy, and ultimately a left hook to the body caused him to go down.

The 39-year-old Begic was unable to beat the referee's count, leading to the fight being stopped.
