Wales will face African opposition for the first time when they host Ghana at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 2 June, with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed.

Wales aim to join Ghana in North America and are set to contest a play-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, 26 March. The winner of that match will then host either Italy or Northern Ireland five days later.

Wales' previous encounter with an African team was a friendly in Tunisia in 1998, where head coach Bellamy played up front in a 4-0 defeat.

The upcoming fixture against Ghana features Manchester City forward and former Newport County loanee Antoine Semenyo in their squad. This match is one of two friendlies scheduled for Bellamy's team in June, with the second opponent yet to be announced.
