Following the match, then Livingston manager David Martindale stated that 37-year-old Bokila was in tears in the changing room after a comment made to him on the pitch.

The melee between the players led to the sending off of both the former Democratic Republic of Congo forward and Milne.

Aberdeen's Response

Aberdeen issued a statement on their website addressing the situation:

"Throughout this process, Jack has consistently and vehemently denied the allegation made against him and the club has continued to support him during what has been a very difficult and distressing period for all involved.
It goes without saying that Aberdeen FC condemns all forms of racism and discrimination unequivocally.
The club now considers this matter closed and will make no further comment."
