PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year Dominated by Motherwell and Hearts
The PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year for the 2025-26 season prominently features players from Motherwell and Hearts, reflecting their strong performances throughout the campaign.
Motherwell, currently positioned fourth in the league, have the highest representation with five players selected. Meanwhile, Hearts, who top the league table, have four players included in the team.
Celtic midfielder Benjamin Nygren, who has impressively scored 19 goals across all competitions, and Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez complete the eleven-player lineup chosen by fellow footballers through their union.

Motherwell's selections include goalkeeper Calum Ward, defender Paul McGinn, midfielders Elliot Watt and Elijah Just, as well as forward Tawanda Maswanhise, who is the league's top scorer. Their contributions have been pivotal to the club's strong league position.
Hearts have defenders Craig Halkett and Harry Milne, along with forwards Lawrence Shankland and Claudio Braga, all of whom have combined to score 33 goals in all competitions, underlining their offensive strength.
