England to Host Ukraine at Hill Dickinson Stadium

The Lionesses will host Ukraine in their Women's World Cup qualifier at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium this June.

Sarina Wiegman's team will be the first England side to play at Everton's new stadium since its opening last summer, with the match scheduled for Tuesday, 9 June, kicking off at 20:00 GMT.

Preparations and Other Matches at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Scotland will also play against the Ivory Coast at the same stadium on 31 March as part of their preparations for the upcoming men's World Cup this summer.

Hill Dickinson Stadium is among the venues selected to host Euro 2028 matches and is currently shortlisted as a potential site for the UK's bid to host the 2035 Women's World Cup.

England's Qualifying Group and Fixtures

England, two-time European champions, are competing for a spot in the 2027 Women's World Cup. They are placed in a qualifying group alongside Spain, Ukraine, and Iceland.

The Lionesses will face Ukraine in Turkey on Tuesday, 3 March, at 17:00 GMT, followed by a home match against Iceland at the City Ground on Saturday, 7 March, with a 12:30 GMT kick-off.

Their first encounter with defending champions Spain, whom they defeated in the Euro 2025 final, will take place at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, 14 April, starting at 19:00 GMT.

"It is very exciting for us to be playing for the first time at Everton's new stadium," said Wiegman.
"We have always said that taking this team around the country is so important and we're really looking forward to playing in front of fans in the north-west.
"The city of Liverpool has a rich football history with many connections to the Lionesses over the years, so it will be a very special evening."
