Vinicius informed referee Francois Letexier that he was subjected to racial abuse by the Argentine winger during the first leg of the Champions League knockout play-off tie held in Lisbon last Tuesday.

On Monday, UEFA announced the provisional suspension after appointing an ethics and disciplinary inspector to examine the incident in detail.
