A 29-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a vehicle struck pedestrians in central London during the early hours of Sunday morning, resulting in one woman being in critical condition.

Gabrielle Carrington, residing on Broadfield Road, Manchester, faces multiple charges including attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and drink driving.

She has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
