Arrest Made in Death of Young Girl Found in Doncaster Pond

A woman has been arrested following the death of a seven-year-old girl who was discovered deceased in a pond in Doncaster.

Nyla May Bradshaw was brought to a park in the Owston area of Doncaster on the morning of 30 March and was reported missing shortly thereafter.

She was later found unresponsive and face down in a pond located within the grounds of Owston Hall Hotel. Nyla May was pronounced dead at Doncaster Royal Infirmary at 13:18 BST on the same day.

South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that a woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and child neglect. The woman has since been released on bail pending further investigations.

Initial inquiries into Nyla's death suggested non-suspicious circumstances; however, ongoing investigations led to the arrest.
