Search Underway for Missing Teenagers After Car Enters River

Police divers are conducting a search for two teenagers who went missing after a car entered a river.

The incident occurred at approximately 20:20 GMT on Tuesday when the vehicle left the road on North Brink, in Wisbech St Mary, according to Cambridgeshire Police.

Five young individuals, aged between 16 and 18, were inside the car. Among them, a male and a female failed to exit the vehicle.

Authorities reported that the three occupants who escaped the River Nene were transported to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police have announced that North Brink will remain closed throughout Wednesday as search operations continue. They have also urged any witnesses to come forward and contact officers.

"North Brink would be closed for the rest of Wednesday while searches continued, and urged any witnesses to contact officers."
