Three Seriously Injured in Highland Motorbike Collision on A87

Three people were seriously injured in a motorbike crash on the A87 near Cluanie, Highlands. Police seek witnesses and dash-cam footage. The road was closed for seven hours during investigations.

Motorbike Crash in the Highlands

Three individuals sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized following a collision involving two motorbikes in the Highlands.

The incident occurred on the A87 near Cluanie at approximately 14:55 on Monday. The vehicles involved were a black Royal Enfield Himalayan and a grey Yamaha MT-09 Tracer.

Injuries and Hospitalization

A 42-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Their injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

The rider of the Yamaha, a 39-year-old man, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where his condition is reported as stable.

Police Appeal and Road Closure

Authorities have requested that anyone who witnessed the crash or possesses dash-cam footage contact them to assist with the investigation.

The A87 was closed for seven hours to facilitate crash investigation procedures. During this period, diversion routes exceeding 100 miles were implemented.

The road was reopened around 22:10.
