Additional Charges Filed After Southampton Protests

During the unrest on Tuesday, eleven police officers and a police dog were injured as objects such as wheelie bins and chairs were thrown in the city.
The protests were sparked by the release of police bodycam footage showing 18-year-old Nowak being handcuffed after he had been stabbed by 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on Monday.
Details of the Charges
Hampshire Police confirmed that Darren Medhurst, 36, and Jordan Hambleton, 19, both residents of Southampton, along with Callum Darch, 27, from Romsey, have been charged with violent disorder. This brings the total number of men charged in connection with the protests to 14.
All three men have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
