Incident Overview
Three individuals were transported to hospital following an incident at a secondary school located in County Londonderry.
Emergency services responded to Coleraine Grammar School at 16:15 GMT.
Details of the Incident
The school confirmed that a "chemical incident" occurred, which involved the release of a hazardous gas in a confined area.
It was noted that no pupils were present on the premises at the time of the event; however, three staff members were advised to seek hospital treatment.
School Response
In an official statement, the school indicated that they are collaborating closely with emergency services to facilitate a comprehensive clean-up at the earliest opportunity.
"The situation is fully under control."
Emergency Services Involvement
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) deployed two fire appliances to the location.
The ambulance service sent a rapid response paramedic, an advanced paramedic, and a Hazardous Area Response Teams (Hart) crew to the scene; these units have since departed.
