Suspects Released on Bail Following Modern Slavery Investigation

Ten individuals arrested in connection with allegations of sexual abuse, forced marriage, and modern slavery linked to a religious group in Cheshire have been granted bail, according to police statements.

More than 500 officers participated in coordinated raids at three locations in Crewe on Wednesday.

Details of the Alleged Victim and Group

Authorities reported that the alleged victim, a woman, was affiliated with the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) during 2023.

Bail Conditions and Legal Actions

Seven men and three women have been released on bail under specific conditions. Police have also sought slavery and trafficking risk orders against five of the suspects involved in the case.
