Fatal Collision in Paisley

A six-year-old girl has died and a seven-year-old girl sustained injuries after being struck by a car on Johnston Street in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

Police Scotland reported that the incident occurred at approximately 17:30 on Saturday. Emergency services responded promptly, but the younger girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The seven-year-old was transported to hospital for medical treatment; her current condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Sgt Jack Swindells said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the girl who died. They ask that their privacy is respected at this time."

Police Scotland has appealed to witnesses to come forward with any information related to the incident.
