Prince George to Begin Studies at Eton College
Prince George will commence his education at Eton College this September, according to an announcement from Kensington Palace.
He will be following the educational path of his father, the Prince of Wales, who also attended this prestigious private school located in Berkshire, where annual fees are approximately £63,000.
Pupils typically start at Eton College at age 13, and Prince George will reach this age next month on his birthday.

As the eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George is second in line to the British throne.
School Selection and Background
There had been considerable speculation regarding which school Prince George would attend after completing his studies at Lambrook School in Berkshire, where he has been educated alongside his sister Charlotte and brother Louis.
Among the schools considered, which appeared to focus on private institutions rather than state schools, was Marlborough College, the school attended by his mother, Catherine.
Ultimately, a traditional choice was made with the announcement that Prince George will attend Eton College, a historic private school founded in the 15th century and known for educating 20 British prime ministers.
Prince George’s uncle, Prince Harry, and great uncle, Earl Spencer, also attended this elite boarding school.
Family Connections and School Experience
Prince William, when interviewed at age 18, expressed his enjoyment of his time at Eton College.
"I've really enjoyed being able to go about Eton as just another student," he said in June 2000.
The costs associated with Prince George’s education will include the Value Added Tax (VAT) applied by the government to private school fees.
Public Appearances and Role
Prince George was recently seen with his parents and siblings at the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London over the weekend.
He has been gradually introduced to public duties, including accompanying his father, Prince William, to assist at a charity supporting the homeless during Christmas.
