Victim Identified in Portadown Murder

Police have confirmed the identity of the man who was fatally attacked in Portadown on Thursday. Rolandas Kvederis, aged 49, was declared dead at the scene after emergency services responded to a property on Ranfurley Road.

Authorities received a report at approximately 23:00 GMT regarding a man injured following an altercation at the County Armagh town residence.

Suspects Detained

Two men, both in their 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently held in police custody.

Law enforcement officials have issued an appeal for anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

Community Reaction

Portadown DUP councillor Kyle Moutray expressed the community's shock over the incident during an interview with NI.

"This is a tragedy," he said, emphasizing the close-knit nature of the community.
"We're in close proximity to a primary school. There's a lot of elderly people here, a lot of younger families. They've obviously been very unnerved by this news."
