Four-Car Collision on A9 Leads to Arrest
A 27-year-old man has been arrested following a four-car collision on the A9 in the Highlands.
The incident occurred at 14:50 on Friday between the villages of Dalwhinnie and Newtonmore, resulting in four individuals being transported to hospital.
Vehicles Involved and Injuries
Police Scotland reported that the crash involved a Toyota Hilux, a Seat Ibiza, a BMW 3 Series, and a Volvo XC60.
The BMW driver, aged 51, along with his 42-year-old passenger and the 24-year-old male driver of the Seat Ibiza, were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Additionally, a 23-year-old female passenger in the Seat was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The current condition of those injured has not been disclosed.
Road Closure and Investigation
The A9 was closed for nearly six hours to facilitate accident investigations.
Police Scotland confirmed that the 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence related to the collision.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
I would ask anyone who witnessed the crash, or who was travelling in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage, to contact us."
