Ongoing Search for Missing Teen in Devon

Detectives and search specialists are continuing extensive enquiries in Devon to locate missing 14-year-old Taylor Charlton, police have confirmed.

Devon and Cornwall Police stated that the community in Barnstaple should anticipate ongoing search activity around the River Taw on Sunday.

Taylor, who is 5ft 8in tall, muscular, with dark brown hair and a moustache, was last seen wearing a bright blue fitted top, jeans, and bright blue Nike shoes. He was reported missing during the early evening of 9 May.

Community Response and Police Appeal

The police acknowledged the community's "amazing response" and reiterated their request that unconfirmed information not be shared on social media platforms.

On Friday, a pair of shoes believed to belong to Taylor were found. He was last seen on 8 May at approximately 22:40 BST near a Tesco in the Seven Brethren area. Authorities indicated that he may have entered the water at that time.

Police expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance and emphasized their commitment to pursuing all avenues of enquiry.

"There has been an amazing response from the community and we recognise how much everyone wants to help find Taylor.
If you are out looking, please help us by not putting yourself at risk. This includes staying away from unsafe buildings and not going near the water or river banks."
