Man Charged Over Rape in Glasgow Park

A 36-year-old man has been charged in relation to the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Springburn Park, located in the north of Glasgow.

Police Scotland reported that the assault occurred between 20:30 and 21:15 on Friday, 26 June.

The accused is scheduled to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Police Response and Community Engagement

Detective Inspector Sharon McPeake described the incident as "concerning" and expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance with the ongoing investigation.

"We are continuing to engage with the local community and anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to one of our officers."
