Family Tribute to Baye Bireme Fall

The family of 16-year-old Baye Bireme Fall, who was fatally stabbed, have described him as an "amazing" son with a "pure heart."

Baye died following the incident near Riseholme, close to the Ortongate Shopping Centre in Peterborough, just before 19:00 BST on Sunday.

"We are completely shattered and may never recover from the passing away of our son whose life was tragically cut short," said Baye's family in a statement released by Cambridgeshire Police.
"Baye was an amazing boy and son whose heart is pure and kind towards other people.
He was ever so ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten."

Arrests and Investigations

A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Baye's death.

Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that both suspects remained in custody after detectives were granted a 36-hour extension to their custody time limit by magistrates on Tuesday morning.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Peterborough City Hospital later.

Additionally, a 16-year-old girl from March, Cambridgeshire, has been charged with possessing a knife or bladed article in a public place. She is due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court on 13 May.

She and a 17-year-old girl were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender; both remain on conditional bail for that offence.
