Civil Trial Against Gerry Adams Withdrawn
The civil trial involving Gerry Adams concerning three IRA bombings in Britain has been withdrawn.
A lawyer representing the claimants announced on Friday that the legal proceedings would be
"discontinued".
The victims who initiated the case alleged that Adams, aged 77, was personally responsible for injuries sustained during IRA attacks in London and Manchester in the years 1973 and 1996.
Gerry Adams, the former Sinn Féin leader, has consistently maintained that he had no involvement in the bombings and has firmly denied allegations that he was a
"major player"in the IRA.
