Security Alert Concludes in Bangor
A security alert in the Ward Park area of Bangor concluded following a controlled explosion on an item believed to be a historic munition.
The suspicious device was reported to police at approximately 17:15 BST on Friday.
Specialist teams and officers conducted a controlled explosion, after which the item was removed for forensic examination.
Police have since lifted the cordons and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
"Cordons have been lifted and anyone with information is encouraged to contact us," police stated.
