Fatal Collision in East Lothian

A 62-year-old woman has died following a collision between a car and a lorry in East Lothian.

The woman was driving a Ford Fiesta when it collided with a Mercedes lorry on the A199 near the Tynefield Junction, close to Dunbar, at 14:35 on Wednesday.

Police Scotland reported that emergency crews attended the scene; however, the woman was pronounced dead at the location. The road remained closed for seven hours to allow for accident investigations.

Ongoing Investigation

Sgt Mike Thomson stated that inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

"Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact police."
