"My sleepy eyes struggled to take in the amazing sunrise reflections through the mist at Eglinton Loch near Kilwinning in North Ayrshire," said Hugh Maxwell from Darvel.

A flock of birds "catching the final glow of the sun," said Robert Westerman from Machrihanish who sent in this photo.

Jeanette Taylor from Aberdeen got up close with a Highland Cow in Kingswell for this picture.
"I often see these lovely cows but I'd never noticed the detail on their horns before such as the stripes on this one,"she said.

Gordon Stewart from Clackmannan was also focused on Scotland's cows with this photo of a four-month-old calf.

Claire Davidson took this photo of her dog Poppy playing with her dad on Leven Beach.

"A tender moment captured near Perth as this young leveret looks for comfort from its mother," said Peter Wilkinson who sent in this photo.

Alan Tough from Elgin was one of the many people who spotted Magnus the Walrus on his travels around Scotland. This photo was taken in Findochty.

Bill Cameron from Lochaber saw the sunrise from the summit of Ben Nevis.

"A sure sign that spring has arrived," said Eric Niven, who saw this butterfly at the Dundee Botanic Gardens.
