Ozzy Osbourne to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Brit Awards
Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement award at The Brit Awards ceremony.
The iconic singer, who passed away last July shortly after his farewell concert in Birmingham, will be recognised at the event held in Manchester on Saturday.
Tribute Performance Featuring Robbie Williams
The show will conclude with a tribute performance of a specially arranged version of "No More Tears," curated by Ozzy's wife, Sharon Osbourne, and led by Robbie Williams.
The Brit Awards organisers noted that Williams was personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to participate, highlighting his status as a long-time fan of Ozzy's music and a friend of the Osbourne family.
Williams, originally from Stoke-on-Trent, collaborated with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi last year on the single "Rocket" and has previously performed parts of "Paranoid" live.
The tribute will also include musicians who have been part of Ozzy's band over the years: Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde.
Ozzy Osbourne's Previous Brit Awards Involvement
Ozzy Osbourne himself hosted The Brit Awards in 2008 alongside Sharon and their two children, Kelly and Jack.
