Overview of Wimbledon and Key Players
Jannik Sinner secured his fourth Grand Slam singles title at Wimbledon last year. The tournament commences on Monday, 29 June, running through to Sunday, 11 July, with comprehensive live coverage available across all BBC platforms.
World number one Jannik Sinner will defend his men's singles title. Notably, two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz will be absent due to a wrist injury. Poland's Iga Swiatek enters as the defending women's champion, having defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in last year's final.
The BBC has secured a new broadcasting agreement for Wimbledon extending until 2033.

Key Players to Watch
Jannik Sinner is favored to win the men's singles title, particularly in light of Carlos Alcaraz's absence.
Novak Djokovic continues his pursuit of a record 25th Grand Slam title and an eighth Wimbledon championship, which would equal Roger Federer's men's record.
Other contenders include French Open champion Alexander Zverev, last year's semi-finalist Flavio Cobolli, and American big server Ben Shelton.
In the women's draw, world number one Aryna Sabalenka has yet to reach a Wimbledon final, having lost in the semi-finals three times. World number four Jessica Pegula, last year's runner-up Amanda Anisimova, and eighth-ranked Elina Svitolina are all seeking their first major singles title.
Elena Rybakina, ranked world number two, has Wimbledon pedigree as the 2022 champion. Recent French Open winner Mirra Andreeva reached the quarter-finals last year.
British Players Qualified
Six British players have qualified directly for the singles draws based on their rankings. Cameron Norrie and Emma Raducanu are the British men's and women's number ones, respectively. They are joined by Katie Boulter, Jack Draper, Jan Choinski, and Francesca Jones.
Wildcards for the men's singles main draw were awarded to six British players: Jacob Fearnley, Arthur Fery, Jack Pinnington Jones, Toby Samuel, Harry Wendelken, and Felix Gill.

Prize Money Details
The total prize fund for this year's Wimbledon is £64.2 million, marking the largest annual increase in the tournament's history.
The singles champions will each receive £3.6 million, while first-round losers will earn £80,000. The qualifying competition prize pool has increased by 25%, exceeding £6 million.
Overall prize money has risen by £10.7 million. Leading players have welcomed the 20% increase as a
"genuine and significant step forward".
Despite this progress, players plan to expand their protests regarding prize money. They intend to limit their time at the media weekend and restrict post-match interviews to 15 minutes during the first week. This 15-minute limit symbolizes the approximate 15% of revenue that Grand Slams allocate to prize money.
