Scotland Trio Ruled Out for Wales Match
Scotland will be without Jamie Ritchie, Jack Dempsey, and Jamie Dobie for their upcoming Six Nations match against Wales on Saturday, due to injuries sustained during their 31-20 victory over England at Murrayfield.
All three players were withdrawn from the game against England. Dempsey is sidelined with a damaged bicep, Ritchie is dealing with a knee issue, and Dobie is out due to a shoulder problem.
Head coach Gregor Townsend described the injuries as "serious" during the weekend, and a squad update from Scottish Rugby confirmed that the players have returned to their respective clubs for further assessment.
"All of the injuries were 'serious'," Townsend said regarding the trio's condition.
Townsend is expected to announce his team selection for the Wales fixture on Thursday.
Team Changes and Player Updates
Matt Fagerson, who started in Scotland's opening Six Nations loss to Italy, replaced Jamie Ritchie in the back row against England. Max Williamson took over from Jack Dempsey. Additionally, Edinburgh winger Darcy Graham, who has scored four tries against Wales in his career, came off the bench during the England match.
Scotland is aiming to secure a fourth consecutive victory over Wales, who have experienced heavy defeats to England and France so far in this year's tournament.
